This policy describes how Tesify collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and our application. As the data controller is established in the European Union, we apply the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation 2016/679). In addition, if you are in India, the processing of your personal data is subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Data we collect

We collect your account data (name and email address), the content you create on the platform, and technical usage data (browser, device, pages visited). You are the author and the owner of the content you produce.

2. What we use your data for

  • Providing and improving the academic writing service;
  • Authenticating your account and protecting its security;
  • Sending you updates and responding to your support requests;
  • Meeting legal obligations.

We do not use your thesis or your documents to train artificial intelligence models.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We only share information with the infrastructure providers needed to operate the service, and where the law requires it.

4. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and request portability, restriction of processing or the withdrawal of your consent, under the GDPR. If you are in India, the DPDP Act 2023 gives you, as a Data Principal, the right to access a summary of your personal data and its processing, to correction and erasure, to grievance redressal, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. 5. Retention and security

We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, and we apply technical and organisational measures to protect it.
